Marie-Therese Gummer, President and Co-author of Pianokids®

Marie-Therese Gummer is an award-winning pianist who is currently completing a Master of Music degree with Pedagogy Emphasis at the Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford.  She completed her Bachelor of Music degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music and holds an Associate diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music as well as a Graduate Diploma in Baroque Studies from the University of Toronto.   She is also a harpsichordist.  Marie-Therese has been teaching for over 10 years and has done research on children with Autsism Spectrum Disorder.  She is currently on faculty in the Community Division of the Hartt School of Music.

Eleanor Gummer, Editor and Co-author of  Pianokids®

Eleanor Gummer holds a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from McGill University, a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of  Manitoba as well as Fellowship and Licentiate diplomas from Trinity College of Music, London and an Associate diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music.  She has won numerous awards, including the  prestigious Giuventu Musicale d'Italia and has performed across Canada and in Italy.  Ms. Gummer has studied with such well-known pedagogues as Karl Ulrich Schnabel in New York City, Tom Plaunt at McGill University, Marek Jablonski at the University of Manitoba, and Garth Beckett in Waterloo.  Ms. Gummer has taught children of all ages for over 30 years.  She has  adjudicated extensively across Canada and is a Senior Examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music.
